Proposed Construction Of A Water Supply Pipeline Along Jan Van Riebeeck Road (R301), Drakenstein Municipality

The Drakenstein Municipality proposes to construct a bulk water supply pipeline to increase the assured supply of water for the Newton, Wellington and Mbekweni areas. The proposed project forms part of the broader master plan to upgrade the municipality's water reticulation system. The intention of the proposed infrastructure is to supplement the water supply of the current population and future development of the above mentioned areas. The activity will improve the water pressure and flow in the existing reticulation system, while improving the overall water reticulation network capacity in the surrounding region.
